The term “stress management” is a popular phrase that is spoke of on a very frequent basis, especially as the world is increasing in its pace and mobile devices mean that downtime never really occurs.  But what does stress management actually mean?

However, stress can turn in to a negative feeling when it becomes overwhelming and has the adverse effect of preventing outcomes from being successfully achieved. It can be debilitating.

To understand how stress can be managed, it must first be understood as to how it is produced and the mechanical aspects behind it. Stress starts in an area of the brain known as the Amygdala which is the home of the stress hormone. To be able to effectively manage stress, the reaction that occurs within the Amygdala must be addressed, and triggers should be highlighted in an individual. The best way to manage stress is through good time management.

There is, interestingly, a direct correlation between stress management and time management. A good example of this is in the workplace where the workload can be overwhelming for many, but the art of delegation can decrease the amount of stress quickly, easily and effectively.
The better the time management techniques in place, the less stress occurs within the body.
